On Friday 23rd August 2024, I suffered a heart attack while at Breedon Priory Health Club.

My wife got me to Derby Royal Hospital as quickly as possible - and I went into cardiac arrest within minute of arriving.

Thanks to Sophie's quick actions and the extraordinary care from the Emergency Department at Derby Royal Hospital, I survived. They saved my life - and I’ll never be able to thank them enough.

This event is my way of giving something back to the team that was there for me in my most critical moment. Every penny raised will go directly to the Emergency Department at Derby Royal via the Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity, helping them to continue their incredible work and support more families like mine.
