This winter our Sales Director, Richard Porter, is giving up one night of comfort, and is sleeping rough on a cold hard concrete floor at Headingley Stadium.

Why is Richard doing this?

“I do whatever I can when I can to help those most in need, whether it is contributing to local food banks, or collecting laptops for underprivileged children I always try and help. However living in the area, I can see that there seems to be more and more people sleeping rough on the streets in Leeds.

I just felt I needed to do more to help. Just giving up one night to sleep on some cardboard in the hope of raising awareness, and sponsors for the charities is the least I can do. Every penny raised is shared equally between the three Leeds based charities and therefore helps those local to me that are in desperate need.”

Richard is taking part in the 2022 Leeds Big Sleep to raise money and awareness for the Charities, St George's Crypt, St Gemma's Hospice and Leeds Rhinos Foundation.

All charities play their part in helping and supporting the homeless within the city and surrounding area.
