Raising money for The Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation

At the Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation, our mission is to bring comfort, care, and hope to young people living with cancer and their families. Inspired by Tom’s vision and courage, we are dedicated to addressing not only the medical challenges of cancer but also the emotional, practical, and social struggles that come with it. We believe every young person deserves dignity, support, and the chance to thrive, no matter their diagnosis. That is why we provide essential resources, such as Tom’s Comfort and Care Kits, to ease long days in hospital, alongside emotional and practical support that helps families feel less alone in their journey. We strive to create an environment where young people are seen, heard, and understood, ensuring that their unique needs are met with compassion and respect. Our mission extends beyond the hospital walls. We are committed to funding vital research into teenage cancers, raising awareness, and campaigning for change so that young patients receive the specialist care they deserve. By working closely with hospitals, schools, and communities, we aim to bridge the gaps in support and ensure that no young person has to face cancer without help. Driven by Tom’s legacy, we stand with determination, kindness, and hope, empowering young people with cancer to face the future with strength, comfort, and courage.

Story

Update (20/5/21): Thanks everyone for your donations so far! We absolutely smashed our £1,000 goal, so we've upped it to £2,500. We're also smashing the distance (kind of) - we've done 235km running, 231km walking and 196km cycling. 11 days left and 338km to go - our legs are getting tired, but we've got this!

----

As a team we are committing to completing 1000km between us in May - either by running, walking or cycling!

We are raising money for SCOR’s charity partner: The Tom Bowdidge Youth Cancer Foundation. The Foundation provides emotional, financial and physical support for young people suffering from cancer, and their families. They also carry out research into the causes and effects of cancer in teenagers and young people.
