We share the benefits of personal music to help people living with dementia.

Story

"I can say hand on heart, doing this (creating a playlist) changed my life" - person living with dementia

We are doing the Kilt Walk to raise funds for dementia charity Playlist for Life.

There are more than 90,000 people living with dementia in the UK and close to 1 million in the UK. There is currently no cure for dementia. But music can help. Over 2 decades of research shows listening to personalised playlists can improve the quality of life of people living with dementia, families and carers.

Playlist for Life is a music and dementia charity that helps people living with dementia, families and cares create and benefit from playlists. We are raising funds to support the work of Playlist for Life and help provide free resources to more families affected by dementia.

"It's probably one of the very few positive things that has happened in my husband's life since his dementia" - wife and carer
