Story
https://roselyn-pennock.muchloved.com/
I am cycling to Cornwall over the course of 21st to 28th August, which will entail approximately 850km and 11500m of ascent crossing bridleways, canals, minor roads and ferries picking a route combining the best parts of the peak district, shropshire, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall including 6 ferry crossings and ‘hike a bike’ sections. The end game is to get to Polkerris in Cornwall for a 3km openwater swim event in on the 28th August.
Julie and Gracie will be driving the route as my ‘Team Pennock’ support crew, stopping at cultural highlights and no doubt tea rooms!! with Gracie chief navigator and Julie driving (for those that know her will know this is a real challenge for her in itself!). So wish us well and to add some meaning to this little adventure we are raising money for MND, a cruel disease that sadly ended my late mothers life and a disease that current rugby legends Rob Burrows and Doddie Weir are trying to defeat.
RIP Mum, we’ll enjoy a pasty or two when we get to Cornwall, your spiritual home xx
£120 could provide an overbed table, making it easier for someone with MND to eat, drink and read safely and comfortably in bed
£230 could fund the coordination of care for someone with MND at a Care Centre for a year
£500 could provide a tablet device with specialist communication software, allowing someone to communicate with loved ones
£750 could fund an MND expert researcher for a week
Every penny raised from Mission 5000 will bring us closer to achieving our ultimate mission; a world free from MND.
