The Holman family first met the Plastow family on holiday in Barbados way back in 1992. We all hit it off instantly but when we exchanged phone numbers at the end of the holiday none of us dreamed that the friendship would continue for thirty years!

We have always been there for each other through all of our lives highs and lows but never more so than when Pete was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease in 2001.Nick and Chris have been a constant comfort and support throughout Pete's illness and it was fitting that I was with them in 2013 when I got the dreaded to call to say that Pete had died.

Now, we are all in our 60's, overweight and unfit, but we are challenging ourselves by taking part in Trek 26 to honour Pete's memory.I know there are many sceptics who doubt we can do it but we are asking you to encourage and back us by making a donation to the Alzheimer's Society for research to eliminate this devastating disease.
