"For someone with blood cancer, a stem cell transplant could be their last chance of survival." This statement rings very close to all of our hearts. After relapsing with Hodgkin's Lymphoma for a second time Leah now requires a allogeneic stem cell transplant. This means she will recieve stem cells from a complete stranger with whom she shares the same tissue type. Finding someone for this would be much more of a challenge without the stem cell register. All it takes to join the register is a quick form and a few mouth swabs which means you could save a life for those desperately in need. Luckily for leah she had 7 matches on the register which is an amazing number! But other people are not so lucky and are struggling to find a match. You never know, it could be you!! I'm urging people to please consider looking at the Anthony Nolan website and joining the register.

Today, five people will start their search for a stranger to save their life. Anthony Nolan is the charity that makes lifesaving connections between people with blood cancer and incredible strangers ready to donate their stem cells. It costs £40 to add each new potential donor to the Anthony Nolan stem cell register. Every new person on the register means another chance for someone to find their lifesaving match.
