On 5th September we are hiking 13 miles along the very beautiful (but very hilly!) Jurassic Coast in Dorset, as part of the Macmillan Mighty Hike event. We are doing this in memory of three wonderful members of our family whose lives were cut much too short by cancer: Pam Matthews (Jon's sister, who died aged 43), Marilyn Finlay (sister-in-law/aunt) and Bernard Finlay (father-in-law/grandad).

13 miles of hiking may not seem much to some people, but one of us (who prefers to remain anonymous but it is the older team member) suffers from osteoarthritis in his knees and toes, so the hike is a real challenge.

The money raised will go to support the work of MacMillan, who do magnificent work in helping people with cancer to live life as fully as possible, by providing physical, financial and emotional support.
