Story
I (Julie) am running the 26.2 miles Yorkshire Marathon in aid of Sarcoma UK. Phil Lucas is doing the 10-mile run on the same day.
Over the last two years, we have watched Sarcoma rip apart the world of our close friends Phil and Beck Jerrod. Sarcoma is an incredibly rare form of cancer that often doesn't get a great deal of funding. So much more research is needed to help prevent others going through what our friends experienced. Since setting up this page, we have sadly lost the incredible Phil Jerrod to this awful disease.

10 years ago, after my one and only horrible full marathon, I swore I'd never do another one. Until now I've been true to that promise. However, having seen first-hand the devastation that this rare cancer causes, I decided to do one more marathon. Because I paid to enter this race myself I'm not under any obligation to fundraise, but I am motivated to raise as much money as I can for Sarcoma UK.
