Story
George’s mummy & daddy will be walking 17.5 miles in the beautiful Lake District as part of the Lake District Challenge. We will be doing this to raise money for Allergy UK- a charity very close to our hearts.
George has had allergies since 8 weeks old. He is allergic to eggs, all nuts and sesame seeds. Despite facing so many challenges in life due to having allergies and a general lack of allergy awareness in society, anyone who knows George will know he is the happiest, funniest, most positive little boy you’ll ever meet. George is super aware of his allergies and other people’s and we are so proud of him for this.
Unfortunately George’s allergies have not been and continue not to be taken seriously by others and still carry a lot of stigma around them. George’s mummy and daddy want to change this, and hope that in future allergies will be taken much more seriously by others and that things/ people will only become more inclusive and allergy aware. It may not sound like much (we are doing the quarter challenge which is 28km) but George’s mummy has some mobility issues due to a chronic pain & fatigue condition, and so that makes this a really tough but exciting challenge for us and gives us a way of showing our support for allergy awareness, and for our gorgeous George.
Please donate to this very important cause with George in mind and help us to break the stigma around allergies and create a better future for those with allergies. Thank you X
