Story
We as a team are climbing a mountain each Everest to Kilimanjaro to Scafell Pike over two weeks to raise money for Tearfunds life saving work around the world.
As things are beginning to get better in the UK with the corona virus they're just beginning to worsen in other countries who don't have the resources as we do or are already war torn like Yemen. For example the city of Barranquilla hosts more than 15,000 Venezuelan families who have taken refuge in temporary accommodation. Most of them depend on being able to go out to work in order to put food on the table, but now they can no longer leave their houses due to an imposed lockdown to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Thankfully, relief agencies such as Tearfunds church partners have delivered food baskets to 600 families with young children and together with the money we raise we can do even more!
They will continue to reach out to help the most vulnerable, including the elderly and women and children who are at risk of violence and abuse when confined to their homes.
The full impact of coronavirus on communities in poverty is still unknown.
By donating money, you will help support Tearfunds life-saving work across the world and together we can really make an impact in people's lives!
Thank you so much for the support :)
