Having been persuaded by our dear friend Hugh Bevan to cycle for 5 tortuous days in the Pyrenees last June, ten of us aged 55 to 64, are at it again - this time in the Alps. Sadly, Hugh can't join us next month although he'll be keeping track of our progress through what's going to be a tough itinerary:-

11th Sept: Brides les bains - Allemont: 109 km; 3,500 m D+ Col de la Madeleine, Glandon.

12th Sept: Allemont - Briançon: 102 km; 2,800 m D+ Alpe d’Huez, Galibier.

13th Sept: Briançon - Barcelonnette: 99 km; 2,500 m D+ Col d’Izoard, Vars.

14th Sept: Barcelonnette - Puget Théniers: 112 km; 2,400 m D+ Col d’Allos, Col des Champs

15th Sept: Puget Théniers - Antibes: 105 km; 2,100 m D+ Col de Féline, Buis, Bleine.
