Story
We, Team PAH (Patientis Aerovate Honori translated to Aerovate Honors Patients) want to help raise immediate awareness and household financial assistance for patients with PAH; to not only support their continuous struggle to survive, but to help them live a semi-normal life. Our goal is to raise $7,000, all of which will go directly to helping the patients pay any household bills they have.
Run by interns Caleb and Jenna from Boston Latin Academy high school, our goal is to create and organize a successful fundraiser as a means of not only initiating awareness, but to provide assistance for PAH patients as well.
As we run our fundraiser, we hope to inspire the minds of patients to remain positive. We do things PAH patients can’t, such as running, walking, biking, and swimming; as a means of symbolizing not only their struggles but their continuous fight for survival. We find it important for the people of Boston, and America as a whole to understand the struggles of these patients and the fight they endure. Their inability to walk, run, and perform acts we as everyday people take for granted is saddening.
By raising awareness and progressive assistance, we wish to give them an experience that allows them to witness a sense of normality.
