Story
On Sunday 26th September Francis Cullen, Steffi Hertling, Ciaran O’Neill, Luke Jarvis, Greg Ullyart and Jorge Stride will be running the Hackney Half Marathon in memory of their good friend Lewis James Morgan Baker, who sadly passed away at home this year from a rare form of brain cancer.
In his honour ‘Team Lewy’ will be running to raise money for St. Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney, where Lewis stayed for several periods over the last few years as well.
The team at St. Joseph’s were most welcoming and warm in their care, and the Hospice facilitated Lewis, his family and friends being able to share some cherished moments during this time, including his wedding day in December 2019.
The five runners are hoping to raise as much as possible for the Hospice so please donate generously!
St Joseph’s Hospice opened in 1905, and since then has been caring for and supporting people affected by serious illness in eight London boroughs. They work to improve the quality of life of more than 2,100 patients with life-limiting conditions each year, helping them live life to the full, to the very last.
To keep their services running they have to raise £19,000 each day, so we’re hoping to raise as much as we can, and every penny is very much appreciated.
