In memory of Gina Campanini
UK Sepsis Trust are proud to be part of this magnificent event. The London Landmark's Half Marathon is one of the most popular half marathon's in the UK. UK Sepsis Trust welcomes you to the team!

Story

Gini was the most wonderful person that has ever lived. Anyone who knew her was lucky. She was the centre of our family. She lit up every room she walked in to, she was determined, selfless, warm, caring, considerate, sang so beautifully, an incredible teacher, and she had her whole life ahead of her. She was 30 years old.

We hope that funds raised in her memory will raise awareness of sepsis and, hopefully, save lives.

A note from the charity:

Your donations will raise awareness, and spark the question: “What is sepsis?" In this way, fundraising can help prevent thousands of deaths & unnecessary suffering through knowledge & awareness of sepsis symptoms.

It also funds Sepsis Trust UK's vital support work, Public Awareness, Educating Health Professionals & helping people adjust to life after sepsis through accessing our Support Group network. We also lobby government to support our cause and makes vital changes in areas such as the NHS.

Thank you.

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
