Raising money for Thrombosis UK and British Dyslexia Association

Story

To celebrate the life and achievements of my special mother Christine, we would like to encourage donations to two separate charities.

Her contribution to children with learning difficulties across generations was immense and well known throughout the community. In support of this, we would like her nearest and dearest to donate to the British Dyslexia Association. Mum completed many of their courses and used their resources to support her pupils. As a charity they work with professionals to support children with literacy difficulties.

Mum sadly lost her life as a result of a pulmonary embolism, which also sadly took the life of our dear Nan. As a result we feel strongly that we'd like to support Thrombosis UK to raise awareness and fund their continued research on the dangers of blood clots, looking at why and how a thrombosis occurs and to educate both professionals and the public.

We are happy for people to donate to whichever of the two charities they'd prefer, but ideally we would raise as evenly as possible for each.

Matt, John & Keith.
