Cycle 2 Cambridge (C2C) a collective of cycling enthusiasts, was formed by a bunch of friends who attended the same high school (Jaffna Hindu Collage) in Sri Lanka and currently settled in the UK, continue their friendship in to their late 50s while enjoying cycling together in the weekends.

Some Five years ago, as we started out with short rides, the loftiest aim we had at that time was, to do a 75 km group ride up to Cambridge. Hence the group started referring to themselves C2C - (CYCLE 2 CAMBRIDGE)

This collective dream of the friends, who have all passed our mid-fifties, became a reality, when we braved a torrential downpour and reach Cambridge on the 23rd of May 2020.

Now after many long rides, from London to Brighten and a number of 100km rides, the group continues to call themselves C2C, enjoy the weekend rides and our long-held camaraderie.

Last year, C2C rose to the challenge of 300 Mile in a month, to raise fund for Cancer Research UK and 5 members successfully completed the challenge and collectively raised £3500 for the charity.

This year we decided to do London 2 Brighton Ride for Alzheimer's Research UK. Many of us experience and witness the terrible plight of our loved ones suffering from the effect of Alzheimer's and Dementia.

Through this endeavour, we hope underline the dire-urgency that the humanity is faced with, in finding a cure for this most desolating human condition.
