After a charity event last year, I was moved by the Teenage Cancer Trust and what they are doing. At a time when young people are discovering who and what they are, often with dreams of their own, to find out that they have cancer can be very traumatizing. The TCT offers unique support dedicated to this age group and their specific needs, from specialized nurses, youth workers and hospital units.

In honor of the struggle that these teens are going though, a team of us have agreed to take part in a Spartan race. What is a Spartan race? Its like a 5 km park run, but they find a very hilly terrain to do it on to make it tougher than the park run. If that was not tough enough, they also give you 20 obstacles to overcome that have a penalties attached to them should fail.
