Sussex ACF Trek to Singapore

Raising money for Care for Veterans

'A remarkable charity caring for remarkable people' Care for Veterans (formerly The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home) is a national charity, providing high quality, nursing care and rehabilitation for disabled ex-Service personnel in an environment they can think of as their home.

Story

Sussex Army Cadets, which is a volunteer youth organisation for young people aged 12 - 18, have risen to the enormous team challenge of virtually trekking over 10000 miles to Singapore. Stopping off in Italy, and visiting other points of interest along the route.

Why Singapore? Sussex Army Cadets have a strong connection with Singapore cadets, as an exchange program has been in place for over a decade. There are also cadets in Italy, so it makes sense to stop and pay them a visit en route too. We will also be learning about different points of interest along the way, and posting what we have learnt on this fundraising page and via Facebook.

Our target is to complete this during the month of August, as normally we would be on our annual camp. But due to Covid, this is no longer possible. So, to keep ourselves busy, gain new knowledge, keep ourselves fit and raise money for charity. We hope to complete this team challenge, to raise vital funds for our chosen charity.

Thank you for your support.
