Story
In April Susette, Laura and myself started the Couch 2 5K programme in April. With the help of Sellars Bridge running club and lots of team spirit, we acheived our 5k. 5 weeks before Gloucester 10k, as we were on a roll, we thought we would train and do our first 10k for charity. As it is a Gloucester Event, we wanted to raise money to benefit lots of Gloucester families, this scanner is very much needed. Please give what you can, thank you in advance Maria and Laura
Here’s some information from GRH about their Scanner appeal.
Our Scanner Appeal: Faster diagnosis to save and transform lives. We need your help to raise funds for new scanning equipment including much-needed mobile digital X-ray machines for Gloucestershire.
Medical imaging plays a vital role in the early detection, diagnosis and treatment of patients across our hospitals, and is key to rapid treatment in emergency situations.
Through our scanner appeal we aim to significantly improve the experience for local people with a wide range of conditions, including those fighting cancer or heart disease, patients in our emergency departments and critical care units and lifesaving treatment for premature babies on our neonatal unit.
Everyone will benefit, from older people with dementia to premature babies who need urgent medical treatment.
