We work in disadvantaged communities to improve literacy skills and life chances

Story

Team SuperAwesome are joining in the Where's Wally? Weekender! 2022 to help raise money for the National Literacy Trust. Like everyone else this year, we'll be participating remotely and walking, running or skipping our 5km/10km from home!

This year we're aiming to raise our highest amount yet of £3,000, beating last year's total of £2,500! Can you help us? Every penny we raise will help change the life stories of disadvantaged children in the UK.

Children born in communities with the most serious literacy problems have some of the lowest life expectancies in England - with the biggest gaps being 26.1 years for boys and 20.9 for girls.

They start school 19 months behind their peers, and are held back at every stage in their lives. They are twice as likely to be unemployed aged 34 and three times more likely to have mental health problems as adults.

Your support makes all the difference, and means that the National Literacy Trust can continue their work to close this literacy gap, and change life stories.
