Story

The Background Story.

On Monday April 27th 2020, we had a plan to ride as Cycling group from our Sumo Digital HQ in Sheffield, all the way down to SpeciaEffect HQ in Oxfordshire. A distance of around 140 miles. We had hoped to pick up other Sumo cyclists along the way, from our other studios, and help to raise some funds.

Then the world turned upside down with the horrific virus situation, and everything was postponed even before it could be promoted :-(

The New Story!

So now, on Sunday May 24th, we are planning on doing the same distance as a virtual ride, using the cycling app ZWIFT (on turbo trainers at home)

At the moment we have three riders here in Sheffield, but we are hoping to get as many other road cyclists involved, assuming you have the equipment, the app and the ability to ride for around ten hours! If you are interested in joining us for the full or part distance, please reply to me individually (Dave Blewett) or connect on Zwift, and we can make the arrangements. We also hope to live stream the event somehow, but we still need to figure that out.

If you would like to join us or not, we would appreciate it if you could share our Just Giving page far and wide, and help to generate some funds and raise awareness!

Thanks for reading, and hope to see you on the virtual road!
