Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page and reading my story (I’ll make it brief :)). I am raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support by walking a half marathon around the Jurassic coast with my nearest and dearest, wife Zoe and three daughters Morgan, Eve and Heidi.
‘Having suffered some continuous discomfort in my stomach for some months and with perseverance with the NHS, in July 2023 I was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma, a type of blood cancer that had produced a cancerous lump in my stomach.
Within a week of my diagnosis I had a phone call from a specialist Macmillan cancer nurse who was very professional, very helpful and who made me feel very supported. This support continued throughout my treatment.
Now thankfully, 5 months later, and after six rounds of difficult chemotherapy, I have been told that I am in remission. I can’t thank Macmillan enough for their help and kindness, this is my small way of giving back to them. If you are able to donate anything, however small, I would be grateful. All donations will go directly to Macmillan.
David Stucki.
