We are four members of the StreetVet central team (Zoe, Laura, Monique & Charlotte) who are running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to help the service users (those experiencing homelessness and their pets) of StreetVet...the charity that we all work for and are passionate about.

Everyday we see the impact pets have on the mental health and wellbeing of their owners and what a difference ensuring their wellness through the provision of free veterinary treatment and care can make.

StreetVet service users are amongst the most vulnerable in society and commonly have complex physical/psychosocial needs. Most of our clients describe their pets as family, their main source of mental health support, and credit their human-animal bond with giving them a reason to live. Without their companions by their side, they would be significantly and adversely affected.
