Fun and dance event to help end modern slavery for Hope for Justice because we must stop abuse and rescue & restore lives
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. When you donate, the money will go directly to Hope for Justice.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with a fun local event whilst raising the profile and money for a really important cause.
Hope for Justice has been operating for over 13 years. They are outstanding in the way that they structure their organisation, remain passionate about ending modern slavery, working with worldwide governments plus you and me.
Many of us enjoy comfortable lives whilst other people are trapped in the evil trade of Modern Slavery. This trade is now more profitable that drugs smuggling!
Most people still think of ‘slavery’ as something from the past – an evil practice that’s been safely abolished and consigned to history. But there are actually more people trapped in slavery today than at any point in human history.
Indeed, modern slavery is thought to be the third-largest criminal enterprise in the world. There are no exact numbers, because this is a hidden crime, but the best estimates suggest there are 40.3 million people in forced labour, forced marriage, sexual exploitation and domestic servitude around the world (Source: International Labor Organization, Sept 2017).
