Raising money for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance and RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution

Story

Stormy+Steth: The Long Row Home is a world record attempt in which Allan Lipp and Mhairi Ross will depart Wick, Caithness in summer 2024, aiming to be first mixed pairs team to circumnavigate Great Britain by rowing boat. The plan is to complete this unassisted which means that for the duration of the journey we will not touch land or accept provisions, these will all be packed onboard and a desalinater unit used to make drinking water.

Home for the 2000 nautical mile journey, and approximately 60 days at sea, is our ocean rowing boat Boudicea, measuring just 7m from bow to stern.

Allan is a fulltime coxswain with the RNLI. Mhairi is a Paramedic with the Scottish Ambulance Service and volunteer navigator with the RNLI. We are both are currently on the crew of Wick Lifeboat, and have over 35 years of RNLI sea going service between us, and are well equipped to safely negotiate the navigational challenges of circumnavigating Great Britain.

We hope that you will dig deep in your pockets to help us raise as much as possible for our chosen charities. Thank you for visiting our page.
