Story
3/5 of the Stanfords are braving the cold weather and shaving their heads in December!
Which ones? Well the one with the longest hair is the one who suggested it!
Jo, Matt and the oldest of the boys will be taking requests for ridiculous styles to do in the shaving process so feel free to let us know...
Jo is mostly concerned with the fact she'll have to do something with her eyebrows, as they've been hidden by her fringe for 5 years.
(The middle child has already done his bit for charity through hair chopping, as you may remember, so is opting out this time. He has suggested he do a day's silence but practiced three times and lasted less than a minute so that may be a work in progress. The littlest is too little to opt in!)
Why are we doing this? To raise money for two amazing charities that are close to our hearts.
*The Human Milk Foundation* funded donor breast milk for us when we had our third child, because Jo couldn't feed him herself after her risk-reducing double mastectomy. We will always support this charity and are so thankful to the donors, staff and volunteer drivers.
*Dorothy House Hospice* in Winsley, Wiltshire, looked after Jo's mum before she died in 2006, and we've continued to be so grateful for their love and care at this time.
---Unfortunately, JustGiving don't allow you to fundraise for more than one charity and split the total, so we've had to make two pages. Feel free to choose to donate to the one that most strikes your heart (I've made the icons the logos of the charities to make it easier), but we'd love to keep it as equal as possible if we can. ---
Thank you!
