Story
I - Squash Squared Overview
Squash Squared is the UK’s first squash and education programme for underprivileged children, and our team is raising money for Squash Squared through participation in the Squash Squared Cup on Saturday December 7, 2019.
The initiative works with children from deprived areas of London, focusing on improving classroom achievement and learning a new sporting skill (squash). Every week, students are escorted from their school to their closest squash club, where they receive an hour of squash coaching combined with private academic tutoring, which helps them with the topics they struggle with the most. Their classroom confidence grows, resulting in better academic attainment.
II - Squash Squared Cup
The Squash Squared Cup is a fun team event where each player taking part raises money to play. It is the charity’s biggest and most important annual fundraiser for Squash Squared, and it will take place this year at The Wimbledon Club on Saturday 7th December at 5.30 pm .
Children from the Squash Squared programme will be playing in the same teams as professionals ranked as high as 15 in the world, who have committed to support this event and our cause. The event is a fun and exciting squash exhibition and fantastic showcase for the mission and accomplishments of the Squash Squared charity.
