The What:

In celebration of 20 years of Resurgo the youth ambassadors will be joining Resurgo walk 20 challenge, where we will walk 20 kilometres from the Bethnal Green centre in east London to the Hammersmith centre in west and raise £2000 for Resurgo and the Spear Programme. I promise this isn't *just* an elaborate attempt to get as many '20s' in a sentence as possible!

Who?

If you're not familiar with The Spear programme, it is primarily run by the fantastic Resurgo coaches who support the young people to overcome their personal barriers, and provide them with the tools required for individuals to make be the best version of themselves. All of us taking part of this event have benefited from improved confidence, communication skills and employability techniques that we still utilise to this day.

Our why:

All of us taking part have been directly impacted by The Spear Programme, a key initiative of Resurgo. The programme is a 5 week course which helps young people between the ages of 16 and 24 who are not employed, in education or training to find work or employment. The youth ambassadors are a group of us who completed the programme and found employment and now wish to share our experiences on the Spear Programme with the world, so other young people who need it can find out about the programme as well as raising awareness of it to those who are in the position to contribute to the fantastic work they do.
