Story

Charity Details

Sophie and Kate are running a half marathon in London on September 4th 2022 to raise funds for The Switch charity.

Kate worked with The Switch on a 12 month programme which aimed to increase financial literacy amongst local school children. The course equipped students with knowledge and skills on; investments, taxes, budgeting, business and banking. Critically, this was supplementary to the UK curriculum which currently does not cover any financial learning in the syllabus.

The course culminated in students creating their own businesses, selling their products at school and pitching their strategies/results to a panel of business leaders at 22 Bishopgate in London.

Kate is raising money to support the next programme commencing September 2022. She excited to empower more students through education to help them get a head start in making smart financial decisions and bridging the gap between school and the world of work.

Sophie and Kate are super grateful for your support!
