Heading Home for the Holidays brings the joys and comforts of home to hundreds of children and adults experiencing homelessness across Greater Boston. Annually, Heading Home supports more than 2,000 children and adults, and women lead 92% of their single-parent homes. Heading Home's approach is proven effective. For the last 18 years, their permanent housing retention rates have been over 90%, and last year, 95% of Heading Home clients remained housed after one year.

Since 2014, generous people connected by the Somerville parents' groups and beyond, have been providing gifts, books, gift cards, household goods, and more to make the holidays brighter for unhoused families. Some donors have given before; others may be here for the first time. Some of you are even giving for your 10th consecutive year and have been through many iterations of this Holiday Drive. We are grateful for each and every one of you because you are helping families in our communities have dignity and autonomy during the holiday season. Thank you!
