Story
We are beyond excited to participate in The Rotary Club’s Swimathon 2025, raising essential funds for three wonderful causes: Smile Group & The Rotary's chosen charities; Pure Insight, and Rise Against Hunger.
Smile is a perinatal mental health charity that provides vital support to new parents facing mental health challenges across East Cheshire. With 1 in 5 new mums and 1 in 10 new dads affected by perinatal mental health issues, our work is crucial in helping families during vulnerable times. We offer a variety of services, including: Peer support groups in Congleton, Macclesfield, Sandbach, and Crewe, 1:1 talk therapy, monthly family sessions at Ruby's Fund in Congleton, home visits. Our focus is on compassion, kindness, and creating a safe, non-judgmental space for parents to receive support and connect with others. Your generous donations ensure that we can continue to offer these services and help more families across Cheshire East.
As a family-focused charity, we thought it would be special to involve our little ones in this challenge. We’re proud to share our team members: Anna and her daughter Beth, Caroline and her two daughters; Molly and Grace, Nic and her daughter Hallie- our youngest team member at 4 years old! Our team will swim lengths of an indoor pool in relay over a 55 minute period.
All funds raised through this event will support these fantastic charities and organisations, with 50% of the funds going to Rotary's selected causes (Pure Insight and Rise Against Hunger) and 50% supporting Smile Group.
