Story
Linda and I (Yvonne) have decided to take part in this event this year.
My husband Rob was diagnosed with stage 3 Renal Cancer and had a kidney removed back in January, since then we have been attending various hospital appointments including visits to the Beatson for treatment. The staff are amazing, friendly and there to support not only the person going through treatment but family members too.
We have all been touched by cancer at some point in our lives and we want to give something back, even if it’s just a small amount, it all helps.
The last ten years have seen over 14,000 participants walk over 86,800 miles - making it Glasgow's brightest sponsored walk as we turn Glasgow's west end Beatson yellow. This fun-filled 10k walk is fully accessible and perfect for all ages, making it a great day out, full of family entertainment, and a great way to raise much needed funds to support patients and families living with cancer.
At Beatson Cancer Charity we believe that no-one should face cancer on their own. This has always been our aim and we will work hard to continue to support even more people and families in the years to come.
Thank you for joining us for what will be a spectacular day, raising funds to support our patients and families across the west of Scotland, who are living with cancer.
We can't wait to go Off The Beatson Track with you all!
