This campaign will lay the foundations for human trials of a pioneering therapy for Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The fatal disease affects the brain and nerves and causes weakness over time. There is currently no cure for the condition.

Story

So a bunch of us decided to do the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease charities. We’d not long heard of Rob Burrow’s diagnosis.

Covid has meant we’re doing this later than planned, and Kev Sinfield has kind of stolen our thunder with 7 marathons in 7 days but we can‘t all be superheros.

Rob Burrow was an amazing rugby player and a nice guy. Just ask anyone who stopped to chat to him in Tescos.
