Story
This year, like so many other events, the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics has had to be cancelled. This event raises funds for a wonderful charity that encourages amazing athletes to train and compete. We will be throwing ourselves into the lovely chilly sea with a funky festive twist midway through December to hopefully raise a few beans for these guys. Any donations are welcome. We understand that other charity events have been amazingly successful lately and if you would rather donate to a Movember fund we encourage that too! Everyone took a hit this year, and we encourage you to help out where you can, whether that be through donating to charities, or even just calling a mate to check in.
Special Olympics athletes have come so far, they have become physically, mentally and emotionally fit through the Special Olympics sports programme and more recently through the Together at Home programme which has enabled many athletes to stay active and healthy during the pandemic as well as creating a virtual sense of community where they athletes feel supported.
Our Athletes Cant Stop, Special Olympics Ireland needs your help to keep their programme up and running, because the only thing that could stop Special Olympics Athletes is a lack of funding.
Thanks everyone, lots of love,
Sarah & Shane
