Story
Strides for Memories.
Hi, and thank you so much for visiting our profile page!
We are Lee and Jacqueline Geddes, a passionate team dedicated to supporting those affected by dementia. On April 27th, 2025, we will be lacing up our walking boots and getting our tartan and kilts on, to take on the 23-mile walk in Glasgow, all in aid of Dementia Scotland, an incredible charity making a real difference here in Scotland.
About Lee
I am a nurse with over a decade of experience working with people living with dementia. Every day, I witness the challenges this condition brings—not only for those diagnosed but also for their families. On a personal level, I have cared for a loved one with dementia, and this experience has deepened my understanding of the journey that so many face. It is my mission to help raise awareness and funds for a cause so close to my heart.
About Jacqueline
I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with people living with a variety of mental health conditions, neurodevelopmental disorders and neurogenerative diseases. My professional journey has been profoundly shaped by my personal experience of losing my grandfather to dementia and caring for my father, who currently lives with dementia. I have witnessed firsthand how this condition affects every aspect of life. This walk is my way of honouring my loved ones and supporting others who are navigating similar challenges.
Why We Walk
Dementia Scotland does incredible work, providing vital support, resources, and advocacy for those living with dementia and their families. By joining this walk, we aim to give back to an organization that uplifts so many during difficult times. Every step we take is dedicated to raising awareness and funding services that make a real difference.
We would be deeply grateful for your support. Whether it’s a donation, sharing our story, or cheering us on, you are helping us move closer to a world where no one faces dementia alone.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Lee & Jacqueline Geddes.
