Event: 2023 Severn Hospice Dragon Boat Festival, from 22 July 2023 to 23 July 2023
We are taking over the River Severn once again in our 40ft Dragon Boats.

Story

We’re delighted to be one of the teams battling it out in this year’s Dragon Boat Festival in aid of the amazing Severn Hospice. This will be the first time we will be taking part in the event and we’re all really looking forward to a fun day out and showing our support for this fantastic local charity.

It has been a challenging few years for charities like the hospice which relies on the generosity of others to raise the money needed to help fund care for those in need of their help. Covid and cost-of-living crisis have had a big impact on how much money they have been able to raise despite the number of people needing their help continuing to rise.

We all know someone that has benefitted from the care of the hospice and understand what a special place it is. When you’re facing difficult times knowing the hospice is by your side makes a difference and we are determined to raise as much money as we can to help them be there for the next people who need their help.

Severn Hospice provides specialist care and emotional support for families in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales living with an incurable illness. All our care is provided for free, but it is not without cost - we have to raise £2 for every £3 we spend. It's because you care that we can.
