Fourteen years after we last ran the Comrades Marathon, The Ultimate Human Race in South Africa, we are taking on the challenge again! On the 9th June 2024 we will endeavour to run the 86km/53 miles ultramarathon from Durban to Pietermaritzburg. Wish us luck!

This time we want to raise money for two deserving charities - Chai Cancer Care, and Alzheimer's Research UK. And anything you can afford to donate will be greatly appreciated.

Chai Cancer Care

Chai Cancer Care is the Jewish community's national cancer support organisation, and when Dave's lifelong friend Mike was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2016, Chai were there for him, and his family, to help them deal with the impact of living with a terminal illness. Chai rely solely on the generosity of donations to provide this vital service, and we hope our fundraising efforts will mean others can also benefit from their care and support.

Alzheimer's Research UK

Alzheimer's Research UK is the leading charity working to revolutionise the way dementia can be treated, diagnosed and prevented. And they are aiming to find a cure for dementia. Our wish is for a cure to be found so other families do not have to go through the same heartbreak we did watching the impact of this cruel disease on Sharon's late Dad.
