Lindsay and Jacob have set up this page in memory of Robin who passed away prematurely after a short illness.

It is the family’s wish that Robin is remembered for the brilliant light he shone on the world both professionally and personally and not for his illness. Nevertheless, we are creating this page to offer dear friends and colleagues the opportunity to help to raise money for the two charities that provided support to us.

The first team member is the Brain Tumour Charity and the second is SS John and Elizabeth Charity. Whichever of these ways you choose to donate, your donation will be included in Team RDQC 2021, in memory of Robin.

THE BRAIN TUMOUR CHARITY

The Brain Tumour Charity provides valuable information from diagnosis through to treatment and also provides funding for research. We will endeavour to ensure that the money raised can be used to fund much needed research into the type of aggressive brain cancer which took his life so prematurely. There have been no developments in brain cancer research for 12 years because it is considered to afflict so few people. We would like to see what we can do to make the outcome more positive for those who follow in Robin’s footsteps.

SS JOHN AND ELIZABETH CHARITY

Robin spent his last few weeks being cared for with the utmost respect and compassion by all of the staff at St John’s Hospice, St John’s Wood. SS John and Elizabeth Charity is the name of the charity for St John’s Hospice which is part of the charitable Hospital of St John’s & St Elizabeth in London.

The Hospice offers inpatient and community based hospice services to the local community and is renowned for the quality of its care and its wonderful staff. The family would like to help ensure that this wonderful loving and caring experience is available to many other families who will follow in Robin’s footsteps.
