Raising money for Epilepsy Society and Sussex Cancer Fund

Story

UPDATE*** Half marathon and Marathon now completed. Feeling very proud and happy I conquered both challenges. If anyone would like to make a donation I will leave this page open until the 14th April.

On 25th February I will be lacing up my running shoes and challenging myself to complete a half marathon! over the last couple of months I have been pushing my boundaries and ramping up the mileage in training for this event. I have also now just signed up for the Brighton Marathon on 7th April. I have chosen to raise vital funds for two amazing charities. Every step I take will be a step towards providing them with the care and support they deserve. The two charities are Epilepsy society & Sussex Cancer Fund. A little about why I have chosen these charities...

As some of you will know my niece Sophie has had to endure living with epilepsy since she was a small child. Epilepsy is not just a medical condition; it is a daily challenge that impacts not only the individual but their entire support network. Your contribution, no matter the size, will be invaluable in the well-being of those facing the challenges of epilepsy. I would be so grateful for all donations to this incredible charity that will benefit Sophie and so many others living with this condition.

The second charity I am supporting is Sussex Cancer Fund who are currently raising funds for a new patient toilet at Hurstwood Park Chemotherapy Suite, on the Princess Royal Hospital site in Haywards Heath. The new toilet will improve privacy and comfort for patients receiving treatment. This cause is very important to me as I have a close friend currently undergoing treatment here at the hospital and they have told me what a difference having this new toilet would make. "Currently the only toilet is in the waiting room which which you have to access outside of the ward and across a corridor and into the waiting room which could be full, plus you're all hooked up to your drip etc so it's not the most practical or pleasant. It would just make patients much more comfortable when they're having their treatment."

Your support will make a real difference so please choose to donate to either or both charities on my page. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.

Much love xx
