Story

Colleagues from Musgrove Park Hospital A&E Department, emergencg nurse practitioners, Sian Martin, Julie Holt myself and Joao Parrinha who works hard in the maintenance team at Musgrove also. Mark Santolos uncle has decided to join us and we - are raising money for the Neurosurgical team at Bristol Childrens hospital who saved my beautiful sons life . Santolo had a catastrophic brain hemorrhage on 15 May 2022 which threatened his life - Santolo was in intensive care fighting for life fo 18 days - in this time he had half his skull removed. Santolo was found to have an anteriorvenous malformation whicb is what ruptured. for Santolo to survive he would require surgery to remove the AVM. Santolo against the odds was diacharged from Bristol Childrens on 1 July 2022 to await brain surgery that could potentially take his life or save it. On 9 February 2023 Santolo underwent 23 hours of brain surgery and my god it was horrific but these incredible surgeons saved my sons life and gave him back to us whole. Its been a diffcult road but Santolo made it - so we want to give something back to the neurosurgeons team Mr Edwards Mr Fellows Molly and Vicky your team i will forever be grateful
