Story
On December 5th, I will be running across India from Chennai to Mangaluru. This 700km journey is planned to take 7 days, over India's rural roads and busy cities.
Why? Running and an active lifestyle has given me so much and now its time to give something back via two very special charities:
Mind Over Mountains is an ambitious and innovative mental health charity that enables people to thrive through therapeutic outdoor experiences. We enable people to restore and sustain their mental health and wellbeing through a highly integrated practice that brings together walking in nature, mindfulness, and professional coaching and counselling. With your help we can move mountains!
The Running Charity harnesses the positive power of running to support young people aged 16-25 facing homelessness and complex challenges. For the past decade, we’ve provided a unique, wraparound support system that combines running with skilled youth work, offering inclusive coaching sessions, 1:1 support, and access to mental health support such as talking therapies and counselling. We work across England and our services are completely free for the young people we work with. By focusing on their needs and offering long-term, non-judgmental support, we help them take confident steps toward brighter futures - one run at a time.
Simply Sport Foundation promotes fitness and sports in marginalised youth through meaningful interventions and advocacy. The funds from the charities will be used towards helping the marginalised children of our Rugby program get better access to equipment, training and sports science aiming for sporting excellence and healthy lifestyle.
