We're fundraising for two causes with a common theme: humanitarian crisis caused by conflict. The war in Ukraine has displaced millions of people, often with only the possessions they can carry. Meanwhile in Afghanistan, nine million people are close to famine following severe drought and healthcare services are struggling to cope with a combination of Covid-19, a measles outbreak and a lack of medical supplies.

Donations to the Disasters Emergency Committee support member charities to meet the needs of affected people in disaster areas. DEC member charities are operating in Ukraine and in Afghanistan, principally providing healthcare, nutrition and clothing.
