We help people with Osteogenesis Imperfecta to be independent and feel less isolated

Story

We are raising money on behalf of our dear friend, Rob Goldsmith, who tragically died in 2022 due to complications arising from Osteogensis imperfecta (brittle bone disease).

Rob was a dear friend who made the most of life, and we miss his enthusiam, murrayisms, and goonerism greatly. Rob underwent countless procedures and operations, yet battled tirelessly to maintain his independence. The 24 miles taking in the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough with the inevitable blisters will in no way compare to the way Rob managed chronic pain with dignity and grace.

Rob was a schoolmate for some of the group, and met the rest of us at Newcastle University, where he was Castle Leazes President 2002/03. We all had the pleasure of living with Rob in Rothbury Terrace. It is an honour for us to raise money for this fantastic charity in Rob's memory. Please give generously.
