Raising money for StrongMen and The Brain Tumour Charity

Story

On the 26th September 2021 (rescheduled from 2020), I will be running the Hackney Marathon. My son, Oscar, sadly passed away on Christmas Eve 2019 from an undiagnosed brain tumour at the age of 2 years old.

I will be running for HeadSmart who raise awareness for early diagnosis of brain tumours & fund ongoing treatments. The money raised is incredibly important to ensure other families dont have to experience the pain and loss that myself and my family have suffered.

I will also be running for StrongMen who tackle emotional and mental health issues brought about by the suffering from bereavement. StrongMen have supported me in getting myself back on track and not tumbling down a dark hole mental wellbeing. Being able to talk to someone else who is going through the same process has been invaluable to me. Knowing that you are not alone, and feel you can talk is incredibly important.

I would be incredibly grateful for any donation – even if its just the cost of a pint! Any amount of money would be put to great use and will be greatly received by these two charities that have become close to my heart. Thank you x
