Story
Rokefest is wall-to-wall music with an impressive selection of real ales on tap and great pub food, all set in a 18th Century pub in the South Oxfordshire village of Roke, near Benson (OX10 6JD). The festival has been running for 16 years and draws a loyal following.
Rokefest is hosted annually by The Home Sweet Home in Roke on the last weekend in May. The garden will be fully covered by a marquee, so no need to bring your wellies! Food will also be available throughout the weekend.
The festival is proud to have supported both local and national charities over the years. This year is no exception as we are raising much needed money for the Julian Starmer-Smith Lymphoma Fund as one of our dearly beloved locals, Ashley Jones, sadly passed away, far too young, after his second battle with lymphoma. The Julian Starmer-Smith Lymphoma Fund is part of Oxford Hospitals Charity. The fund supports important research taking place in Oxford into lymphoma cancers, which are the fifth commonest type of cancers in the UK.
Bands will once again give their time and energy for free in aid of a chosen charity. Entrance is free, but we ask for a donation towards a limited edition wristband! You will also be able to purchase a branded 'eco pint cup' with all proceeds going to the charity and at the same time helping the environment too!
We look forward to seeing you there!
