Story

Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition of widespread pain and profound fatigue. It is a common illness that is thought to affect 1 in 20 people in the UK. The pain tends to be felt as diffuse aching or burning, often described as head to toe. It may be worse at some times than at others and may also change and usually becoming more severe in parts of the body that are used most. Add. symptoms often include: unrefreshing sleep, headaches, irritable bowel, cognitive disturbances, clumsiness, dizziness, and allergies.

Being diagnosed with fibromyalgia can leave someone feeling alone, doubting what they are experiencing, fighting stigma from those around them, and desperately seeking information and support.

Fibromyalgia Action UK exists to help people in their daily struggle with fibro. Their helplines and services offer support and advice across the UK to those affected by fibromyalgia.

Your amazing gift will help provide hope to those left isolated by this lifelong condition.
