We provide mental health support to people living in South Kent.

Story

Andrew Osborne, Ben Robinson and Maria Stevens will be running and SallyAnne Logan will be cycling 10 miles in January in aid of South Kent Mind in memory of Steve Parish. A few years ago, this group of colleagues came together as part of the council's Leadership programme and have been friends ever since. We (like so many) have been hit hard by Steve's passing and want to do something in his memory to help others who may be suffering from mental illness too. We anticipate this being the first of several fundraising events over the next year or so. Ordinarily we would invite all staff at ABC to join us, either to run/cycle or to support us along the way, but Covid has limited our ability to do this, but we will be joined by some others all being well. So, this time round, we are simply asking for your support with donations to our Just Giving Page. We promise to take photos and hope that over the summer 2021, we can organise a bigger fundraising event where we can all gather to share memories of Steve, who was a wonderful colleague and friend.

We were originally planning to undertake our run on Saturday 30th January, and then in April, but have postponed this until Saturday 10th July 2021 due to the government restrictions. We would like to thank you all for your support.
