At Bank of America, we're delighted to welcome Mental Health UK as our UK charity partner. Our fundraising will help Mental Health UK provide national and local services that enable and empower people to understand and manage their mental health.

Story

At Bank of America, we are proud to fundraise for our charity partner, Mental Health UK.

Approximately 7.5 million people in the UK living with a mental illness, and an estimated one in four of us experiences a mental health problem every year. Mental Health UK, aim to increase everyone's knowledge and understanding of how to protect and maintain mental health.

Our fundraising will help Mental Health UK support people with mental illnesses into employment. The charity's research suggests that despite 80% of people living with mental illness wanting to work, just 20% are currently in employment.

The QIS Structuring and Trading team is taking part in the London 10 Peaks Challenge, raising funds for Mental Health UK.

We will be covering a marathon distance of 42km, taking on varied terrain, from footpaths to urban roads, ascending over 600m across the whole route.

42.2 km is about 56000 steps. That's equivalent to going from your desk to the coffee machine and back about 500 times in a day.

At the moment, our training relies on going to the coffee machine 3-4 times a day...
