Story
Coronavirus has been hard on all of us, but it has been particularly difficult for the children, young people and families the Winch supports.
That's why we will be rowing 31 miles over the month of October in the Winch Monster Dash Challenge. On October 31st we will row in costume to finish out our mileage.
Our challenge is small compared to what many of the Winch families face.
We want to help build a kinder and more supportive community, but we need your help. Together we can Pull For the Winch to meet our £500 target.
Follow the Winch on Facebook to see our progress and watch us rowing in front of the iconic Hammersmith Bridge on October 31st-in costume of course!
FACTS:
Too many children start their lives facing disadvantage.
Coronavirus has made it harder for struggling local families to pay the rent, put food on the table, and look after their physical and mental health.
The odds seem increasingly stacked against young people. Their lives have never felt so difficult and their opportunities never more limited; from the closure of schools, to the chaos of exam results and university lockdown, and the devastation of youth employment opportunities. Unless we act, we’re at risk of leaving an entire generation behind.
